Co-PI

Vasily Kolchenko M.D. / Ph.D., (Co-PI) has extensive experience in research, teaching and curriculum development. In addition to degrees in medicine and biology, he has an M.S. in mathematics and has been working on the development of the interdisciplinary courses in Bioinformatics, including Sequence Analysis, Protein Structure and Structure Prediction, and Function Prediction. He teaches courses in Anatomy and Physiology, and Bioinformatics, which is a partially online course. He has been involved in the development of a new B.S. program in Biological Sciences at City Tech. His current research includes biosensor development for virus detection and innovative instructional techniques for students of diverse backgrounds.
