Prof. Raffael Guidone

Ph.D., Assistant Professor in Computer Systems Technology, Principal Investigator

Professor Guidone received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He worked in Information Systems for over thirty years in Scientific, Engineering, and Financial Services applications. Most of his work was concerned with application software development in structural analysis, computer graphics, insurance, and banking applications; system and application performance; and the development of system development and project management methodologies. Prof. Guidone joined the Computer Systems Technology department at City Tech in 1994 as an Adjunct, and became part of the full-time staff in 2002. His current interests lie in the development and application of Systems Analysis and Project Management processes, system security, and database. In addition to teaching courses in Systems Analysis, Project Management, Database, and Programming Languages, he has been active in curriculum development in Computer Systems Security and Database Design and Performance. As the Chair of the department Curriculum Committee, he has been engaged in the redesign of the Associate Degree program which was implemented in 2009 and is currently working on the redesign of the Bachelor Degree Program.
